CONCERTS
We believe that everyone deserves access to live high-quality choral concerts, so the Pasadena Chorale’s concert programming is offered at no cost to the public. The Wednesday concert series features 90 singers in the magnificent setting of Pasadena’s First United Methodist Church. The Sunday afternoon series showcases 24 singers in the intimate and vibrant acoustic of the Altadena Community Church.

THE HIGH NOTES
A treble chorus for singers in grades 6-10, the High Notes rehearse weekly, practicing high-level ensemble singing and learning vocal technique and music theory. The High Notes perform several times annually, both with the Pasadena Chorale and on their own.

LISTENING TO THE FUTURE
A project for high-school composers, Listening to the Future offers young people instruction in composing choral music and a performance and recording of the music they compose. Like all our educational programming, Listening to the Future is offered at no cost to students and families.

Gather in the winter season with Shawn Kirchner’s new American holiday classic. Incorporating a range of styles from bluegrass and gospel to contemporary classical, Kirchner weaves a uniquely American oratorio for our times. This special performance features the composer at the piano!

Listening to the Future
Be the first to hear tomorrow’s choral classics! Music composed for the Chorale by Pasadena area high school students, with the guidance of composer mentor Jen Wang. In the first 8 years of Listening to the Future, the Chorale premiered 71 new choral works created by 29 student composers, many of whom have gone on to study composition at some of the most prestigious universities.
