The Pasadena Master Chorale welcomes people of all backgrounds. We actively seek to assemble a group of excellent singers that reflects our greater community — diverse in race, ethnicity, gender identity, belief, sexual orientation, age, and physical ability. From the strength of our differences we create beauty through unified choral singing.
WHO WE ARE
The Pasadena Master Chorale is an auditioned volunteer community chorus dedicated to excellence in choral singing. We rehearse every Monday evening, plus one Wednesday evening per month and one Saturday morning per month. Singers pay modest annual dues, but no qualified singer will be kept from PMC by an inability to pay.
JOIN US
PMC is looking for singers who love being in choirs and love the challenge of making choral music well. We're looking for singers who are skilled and expressive musicians and who enjoy blending in an ensemble and singing non-soloistically.
STEP 1. ONLINE SUBMISSION
PMC welcomes online submissions by interested singers in all voice parts.
AUDITIONS FOR 2019/2020 SEASON OPENING SOON
On the recording you should be the only one singing, and you can sing any song that shows your best choral singing ability. The recording should be unedited and unprocessed, and needn’t be studio quality. A recording made on your phone is fine, for example.
Begin the recording by introducing yourself and telling us the date on which the recording is made. You may sing with or without live accompaniment. Don’t sing with recorded accompaniment. We want to hear you sing with good intonation and diction and in a relaxed way. We’re not looking for soloistic singing; that’s not how we sing in PMC.

STEP 2. IN-PERSON AUDITION
By invitation only after review of recorded submissions. Singers invited to participate in the live audition will
attend a rehearsal and then sing a quartet audition with current members of PMC.
