Come audition for the 26-27 concert season! The Pasadena Chorale and the Pasadena Choral Society are auditioned choruses dedicated to excellent choral singing and building community through music. The Chorale and Choral Society welcome singers of all backgrounds. We actively seek to assemble a group of excellent singers that reflects our greater community—diverse in race, ethnicity, gender identity, belief, sexual orientation, age, and physical ability. We are looking for singers who love being in choirs and the challenge of making choral music well, who are skilled and expressive musicians, and who enjoy blending in an ensemble and singing non-soloistically (although Chorale members are regularly selected as soloists).

Is there a separate audition for the Pasadena Chorale & Choral Society?
No, there is only one audition for both choirs.
What is the audition process?
FIRST ROUND: complete the online audition form and submit your audio recording
SECOND ROUND: in-person rehearsal and quartet audition by invite
How long do I have to audition for both ensembles?
Auditions are open from April 8-22, 2026
How does the in-person audition work and when is it?
The second-round in-person audition will be on the evening of
Wednesday, May 6, from 7-10pm. By invitation only.
When will I find out if I made it into one of the choirs?
A decision will be made within 2 weeks after the audition process has concluded. Everyone who participated in the auditions will receive an email from us.
What are the singer dues?
Both the Pasadena Chorale and Pasadena Choral Society have singer dues in the amount of a few hundred dollars per season.
If I make it into one of the choirs, when will rehearsals start?
Rehearsals for both choirs will begin in August 2026.
When and where are rehearsals for each ensemble?
The Pasadena Chorale has its rehearsals on Monday evenings at The First United Methodist Church in Pasadena. The Pasadena Choral Society has its rehearsals on Tuesday evenings at San Marino Community Church.
